About Rachel Rubin Ladutke, Playwright
Rachel Rubin Ladutke is a produced and published playwright living in New Jersey.
Her works include 8 full-length plays, 3 musicals, and numerous shorter pieces.
Excerpts from several of her plays appear in monologue and scene anthologies.
Rachel attended Wheaton College and spent a semester at the National Theater Institute.
She holds an M.A. in Theater from Hunter College/C.U.N.Y. She served as the Editor
of InSight For Playwrights, a monthly marketing newsletter, from 2003 to 2014.
She facilitates two online playwrights' groups, Writing Sprints and Opp Swap.

She is a member of the Dramatists' Guild, the National Play Exchange, the Playwrights' Center,
and the International Centre for Women Playwrights (Board Member).
Over the course of the pandemic, Rachel has coordinated virtual readings of works by Brian Friel, Tony Kushner, and Eugene O'Neill. She also participated in #Enough2022, a nationwide presentation of plays by teenage playwrights on the topic of gun violence, presented by over 60 groups on April 20th (the anniversary of Columbine).

Zoom theatre has been an inspiring experience for Rachel, as she has developed and revised three full-length scripts through workshopping online. She has established relationships with performers and playwrights from all over the U.S.
Wanting to provide opportunities for other playwrights to have the same benefits, she organized States of Play, a weekly virtual reading series running from January through December of 2022. Each Wednesday, States of Play presents plays by female+ playwrights, each set in a different state of the U.S. (plus Puerto RIco and D.C.)
